Amanda graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and went on to earn the designation of a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. The CFP® title is awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP® Board’s rigorous academic and professional requirements. The areas of concentration include personal financial planning, risk management, investments, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.
Amanda began her career as an operational and billing analyst with an Overland Park firm specializing in retirement planning. There she worked extensively within the behind-the-scenes processes and systems that keep a Registered Investment Advisor running.
Amanda joined Prism Financial Group, L.L.C. in 2018. She loves all aspects of the role, especially crunching the numbers for financial analyses and financial plan construction. But her favorite aspect is spending time with and getting to know Prism’s clients a little more each day.
In 2021, Amanda earned the Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional™ Designation. The ABFP™ Designation is a unique program that enhances advisors’ emotional competencies, client interactions, and financial planning advice through a thorough understanding of psychological explanations for economic behavior and hands-on practice of knowledge.
Amanda lives in Ottawa with her husband Garrett and son Clay. They love spending time outdoors, keeping up with their dog Goose, and helping out on the family farm. In her spare time, Amanda can be found assisting with various events at Grace Community Fellowship, reading her favorite novels, or trying to keep her many houseplants alive.
