In 2012, Dallas graduated with his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance from West Texas A&M University, located in Canyon, TX. He completed his undergraduate studies with a study abroad program at the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark, a course specific to the study of social democracy and capitalism, international trade, global sourcing, and the Nordic region's economy.
While attending WTAMU, Dallas was a member of the university's Accounting and Finance Association (AFA). He also participated in the Student-Managed Investment Fund where he completed the analysis and comparison of companies' stocks, to learn the fundamentals of investing and provide scholarships for future College of Business students. Dallas also competed in Capsim, a Capstone Business Simulation, where he and his team placed in the top 10% in the nation. The simulation is designed to teach strategic management, competitive analysis, finance, and other business aspects, to enhance business acumen, and transform a poor performing company into one that is focused and successful.
Shortly after the completion of his undergraduate studies, Dallas returned to his hometown of McPherson, KS. There he began his career in the financial industry working in a local bank's trust department, and as a paraplanner for a local financial advisor. He has also obtained his FINRA Series 7 license.
On a personal note, Dallas now lives in the Overland Park, KS area. He enjoys attending and watching sporting events, specifically his beloved Boston Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and NASCAR. Dallas also enjoys traveling and experiencing new cities, fishing and hunting, playing golf, cooking and trying different concoctions on his Traeger grill, and is an avid concert goer. He also donates his time alongside our fellow Mize Houser & Co. employees in charitable events; most recently with a local organization, Happy Bottoms, which supplies diapers for underprivileged families in the Kansas City area.
