Tim began building his own financial services business after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Kansas. As a Principal of Prism Financial Group, L.L.C., which offers financial planning and investment advice on a fee-for-service basis, Tim has refined his approach to financial planning to accommodate both business and personal clients.

Tim earned his certification through the International Board of Standards and Practice as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional in 1990. The CFP® title is awarded to individuals who successfully complete the College for Financial Planning's rigorous academic and professional requirements. The areas of concentration include personal financial planning, risk management, investments, tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning.

Tim has earned additional professional designations as a Certified Mutual Fund Specialist (CFS®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) . These programs provide professional tools for in-depth analysis for development of investment strategies that will assist clients in working towards reaching their financial goals.

Tim developed a successful wealth management practice that continues to grow through referrals from his existing clients as well as other professional advisors. Tim has been awarded the DALBAR Seal, evidence of his membership in an elite group of financial professionals. The DALBAR Program for Financial Professionals measures actual clients' experiences with their financial professional. Professionals who earn the DALBAR Rating are highly rated in the areas of trust, quality, performance and satisfaction. Tim has provided expert financial planning advice to clients, which has been published in local newspapers and national magazines.

As a result of Tim's expertise, in 1999 he was invited into an alliance with Mize Houser and Company, P.A., a regional accounting firm. Mize Houser specialties include accounting and tax services for professionals, business owners and has developed a specialization of working with owner/operators of McDonald's restaurants on a nationwide basis.

Tim is active in community and industry affairs while actively working with the Financial Planning Association. Tim enjoys spending time with his wife, Theresa, and his twin daughters at their home in Lenexa. When time permits, he also enjoys golf, photography and everything related to Kansas University Jayhawk Basketball.
